Under Bill 5 Special Economic Zones will be created to facilitate development. However, any legislation that affects Indigenous peoples' inherent Treaty rights must have free, prior and informed consent. The rights of our First Nations cannot be overlooked or undermined. Read more

I do not support this bill. The Special Economic Zones Act would lead to the destruction of countless important habitats and valuable natural environments. It would allow developers to put immediate profits over the economic value that natural spaces provide for all Ontarians. Read more
