with bird populations on a decline the piping plover is important to me. especially since wasaga beach makes up for 50% of the breeding population in ontario.

Do not mess with our Provincial Parks! It's clear that Ford is in the pockets of developers, but now he is attacking his own base. If this goes through I'll be actively working to get his government out of power, when I used to support him. Read more

This is absurd and unwanted. Fraud and greed. Unnecessary and unneeded. Disgusting and an abuse of power. Very trump like.

Do not sell provincial park lands for short sighted economic initiatives. The park lands were set aside for the future benefit of both natural and human communities. The government in their governance obligations have a sacred trust to protect and preserve these lands.

I believe green and public spaces should be preserved. Wasaga beach and provincial parks are a popular destination as it is. I have many fond memories of visiting Wasage beach with family and friends, I want to be able to have the same experience with my children and grandchildren. Read more

Do not sell this!! There are animals who will be greatly impacted by this choice, not to mention all the humans who love to spend time here. Disgusted that this is even a proposal.

Please dont sell parts of our beautiful beach. The public needs a place to enjoy the incredibly hot summers. This provincial park is a gem and selling it to developers will ruin it. Please dont ruin this for the public.

Our province needs protected wild spaces for the health of our citizens as well as many other creatures who depend on these places for habitat. Our parks should not be open to mining or any other kind of extraction that will degrade the environment. Read more

This land is for the people and shouldn’t be sold just to be overdeveloped and ruined for future generations

A strong NO to any proposals removing any land from any provincial park in Ontario, including the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. A big YES to creating additional parks, and adding land to existing provincial parks in the province. Read more

This proposal is not only going to destroy the Wasaga provincial park, it will set a dangerous president for all of our protected parks. Provincial parks belong to ONTARIANS, and the government has no right to sell or develop it from under our feet. Especially for private use. Read more

Stop the development of Wasaga Beach. As the population increases we need more public beaches, not less. In fact, the entire beach from Wasaga to Awenda should be public. No one should own access to the water.
