I am not in support of any effort to remove land from designated provincial parks. Currently this land is accessible to all residents of Ontario but removing it to encourage economic growth sounds like privatization and making waterfront land available to be sold to the highest bidder. Read more

I am concerned about the future of the piping plovers if Wasaga Beach is redeveloped and if the size of the provincial park is reduced.

Absolutely NOT. Why would you remove beautiful parks areas that can be shared by all Canadians to illicit funds for the privileged few. This is unacceptable. Stop privatizing parts of our gorgeous country for rich people. This is a shameful proposition. Read more

To think that a private corporation will protect the fragile habitats of endangered species is completely absurd. The work that has been done to protect the Piping Plovers over the last 15 years would not have been possible if it were not a Provincial Park. Read more

Amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act should only be implemented IF these amendments provide MORE power and MORE protection to Parks and Reserves. Opening areas up to Tourism ministry leaves a green light to manipulation by the current government. Read more
