I am not in favour of changes to the act re protection of species. It is my belief that loss of any species brings irreparable changes to the overall environment. We are not aware of all the interactions of creatures with their environment.

I understand that the Provincial government wants to focus on development and growth, especially in light of tariffs coming from the United States. But this should not be implemented at the expense of at-risk species and habitat.

We are deeply disturbed that the Canadian Government would see fit to just drop about 106 endangered species. Those species would put under protection legislation for a reason and therefore there is no reason to just ripe that away from them.
