Please do not allow the attack on nature and endangered species. Like ontario place, once the land and nature has been destroyed there's no turning back. In the city of Kawartha Lakes area we watch as our beautiful farmland is destroyed by Massive housing developments. Read more

I oppose putting economic growth ahead of species protection. Scientific findings shouldn’t be politically vetoed to protect evidence based conservation. Do not narrow the definition of “habitat“, recovery depends on future restoration zones. Bring back mandatory recovery plans! Read more

Progress at any cost isn’t progress! You need to withdraw the species conservation act and reinstate the endangered species act. Also reassign all special concern species to the protected list. It’s only the intelligent thing to do to protect species before they’re endangered. Read more

Bill 5 will destroy Canada's biodiversity permanently. There are ways to develop the country without killing endangered species. Lowering biodiversity will only make the lives of Canadians worse and climate change more extreme. Find other solutions that don't include bill 5. End bill 5

Do not pass this ridiculous Bill. Canadians and Ontarians alike care about the natural world around us unlike your government. We also need the natural life around us to survive, unlike your government.

We understand the economic pressures you face. However your government is making yet again a short term decision that we all will regret in the future. Species diversity is not about whether this fish or that turtle "matters". We can't know for sure, like an airplane flying... Read more

I am not in favour of changes to the act re protection of species. It is my belief that loss of any species brings irreparable changes to the overall environment. We are not aware of all the interactions of creatures with their environment. Read more

Hello, I understand that the Provincial government wants to focus on development and growth, especially in light of tariffs coming from the United States. But this should not be implemented at the expense of at-risk species and habitat. Read more

We are deeply disturbed that the Canadian Government would see fit to just drop about 106 endangered species. Those species would put under protection legislation for a reason and therefore there is no reason to just ripe that away from them. Read more
