Please do not make these changes. With the C5 essentially removing protections for the environment and wildlife we have to protect what little legislation we have left! Ontario is a beautiful province, with diverse wildlife, lets keep it that way Read more

We need to protect endangered species and species at risk. These species and ecosystems are vital for our environment and play a huge part in the way of life. They are endangered and at risk because of us, taking that away from them still makes this our fault. Read more

I completely disagree with removing protections from our at - risk species. As such a large country, we should not be able to allow putting the security of a species at risk simply because another province is currently maintaining a population. Read more

The removal of 106 species at risk is not being made according to scientific evidence. This is solely a political move. The Ontario government knows this yet plans to go ahead with these irresponsable moves anyway. Read more

This proposal is horrendous and will cause untold long-term harm to both the natural environment and the billions of dollars in economic benefit that is provided to Ontarians and Canadians from the natural environment. Read more

- I oppose putting economic growth ahead of species protection. - Scientific findings shouldn't be politically vetoed. Protect evidence-based conservation. - Don't narrow the definition of 'habitat,' recovery depends on future restoration zones. - Bring back mandatory recovery plans! Read more

Please, can’t you see how short sighted you are being? And where does it end? When all the animals, birds and fish are dead? Without all of them there is no us. How much money do the developers need and what will they spend it on once these beautiful wildlife are gone? Read more

I am vehemently opposed to prioritizing economic growth over the preservation of biodiversity. The potential damages of removing protections from endangered species are devastating for our ecosystem and can be irreversible.

I am absolutely disgusted with these proposed changes. You have made it so if the price is right then any environmental concerns are irrelevant. We shouldn’t be taking away endangered species, we should be doing more to protect them. Read more

This bill seems to be prioritizing the desire to make money off "developing" land rather than protecting it. Humans are part of Nature and it's our responsibility to protect it. That includes all the animals, plants, and other species that inhabit it. Read more

Protecting animals at risk takes years, and a concerted effort. To remove that protection is a death sentence to the animals, but also to all the other living things that share the same habitat, and ultimately they are all connected to us humans. To harm them is really harming ourselves. Read more

I am strongly opposed to the changes proposed which are designed to make it easier to sacrifice living beings for political and financial gain. It's extremely disappointing that these changes can even be contemplated. Read more
