This bill seems to be prioritizing the desire to make money off "developing" land rather than protecting it. Humans are part of Nature and it's our responsibility to protect it. That includes all the animals, plants, and other species that inhabit it.

Protecting animals at risk takes years, and a concerted effort. To remove that protection is a death sentence to the animals, but also to all the other living things that share the same habitat, and ultimately they are all connected to us humans. To harm them is really harming ourselves.
