This bill is incredibly detrimental and disregards the health, well-being, and safety of cyclists in Ontario. The government has a duty to protect the physical safety of its people, and the Government of Ontario, under the direction of Doug Ford, is neglecting its lawful duty. Read more

Let city councils make decisions regarding municipal road-use. If we are unhappy with what they do, we will vote them out of office. The Government of Ontario is overstepping with this proposed legislation, and we may just vote you out of office in 2029.

Sadly, governing bodies only see as far as the next election. Our beautiful cities and towns are slowly being choked, and will ultimately be strangled, by too many cars and other vehicles. Why not mitigate this scenario by improving public transport and cycling infrastructure? Read more

Bike lanes are critical infrastructure for our city and are tens of thousands of residents count on them to get home or to their destinations safely. They’re environmentally friendly and have been proven to reduce traffic. Read more

Bill 60 will severely impact my city's ability to convert underutilized car lanes in the downtown corp and implement safer cycling facilities. It is preventing city's from making proper analysis and judgement of how to best adjust road infrastructure to best support it's citizens. Read more

I strongly object to the proposed legislation to prohibit reducing vehicle lanes in order to put in bicycle lanes. Vehicles already use the vast majority of road space. Read more

I am a pedestrian, non-driver, and city cyclist - I only cycle in Toronto because we have bike lanes given that I live at Bloor Street and Parkside Drive where drivers constantly speed. I also encounter aggressive drivers and speeding throughout the city. Please rescind Bill 60 immediately. Read more
