I vehemently disagree with changing the structure of conservation areas into larger areas. Local, smaller areas are fundamentally better designed to protect these environmentally sensitive ecosystems.

I feel like centralizing environmental protection is a bad idea. Bigger agencies have less information about the specific, contextual needs of various watersheds and eco systems. Smaller, localized conservation authorities have better insight into the needs of the communities they serve. Read more

I am in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario and I am strongly opposed to any amalgamation of conservation authorities across Ontario. Northern Ontario’s a huge geographical area and it’s too vast to be served by a single conservation authority.

I strongly support Hamilton Conservation Authority's submission to the ERO as I share its concerns about losing local decision-making. In my view, effective conservation depends on decisions that are informed by and accountable to the local community. Read more

I am against this! Leave our preservations alone! Why is the government not focusing on health care, homelessness and affordable housing. I am no longer proud to be Canadian and it's my governments actions causing me to feel this way! Do better.
