I think the local matters and does things certain ways that are applicable to the local that may not be understood if consolidated I think they should stay they way they are but me be managed and invested in more.

I support the Province’s investments in technology, modernization, and consistent standards across conservation authorities. However, I do not support the proposed restructuring into a Western Lake Ontario Regional Conservation Authority. Read more

As a citizen of Ontario I am very concerned with the proposed amalgamation of Conservation Authorities. I can understand the province's desire to streamline processes, but if it is at the expense of our natural environment, I strongly oppose the change. Read more

This is all about the bottom line and how can save money and make more profit. This is not about the nature preserve and conservation. This can only be a future disaster for conservation areas if this amalgamation is approved!

The consolidation of conservation authorities is a direct attack on environmental protections and severely limits the ability of CAs to have local authority and expertise of their jurisdiction. Each CA has an in depth knowledge of their local ecosystems, hazards, and the species. Read more
