In 2000, Ontario PC's (under Mike Harris) thought it would be a great idea to amalgamate Dundas and surrounding areas with Hamilton. In their "wisdom" they felt it would save money as we would have more buying power. WRONG. Read more

Hello, I am a farmer in Niagara most farmers. I would say 95% of them despise this organization. They block ditches l, they make hurdles for farmers they caused us to lose land to flooding. They also push reclassification of good land to wetland based on elevation not Drainge. Read more

By consolidating regions the government is really eliminating most regional conservation authorities. This decision shows the government's lack of respect for those of us who are very concerned about the environment, our local watersheds, wetlands, forestry and wildlife and birds. Read more

I have used the hike, bike, ski, snowshoe trails of the Sault Ste Marie conservation authority for years and these natural resources and facilities need to be managed locally. The north is too large and varied to have remote oversight. Read more
