In 2000, Ontario PC's (under Mike Harris) thought it would be a great idea to amalgamate Dundas and surrounding areas with Hamilton. In their "wisdom" they felt it would save money as we would have more buying power. WRONG. Read more

Hello, I am a farmer in Niagara most farmers. I would say 95% of them despise this organization. They block ditches l, they make hurdles for farmers they caused us to lose land to flooding. They also push reclassification of good land to wetland based on elevation not Drainge. Read more

Amalgamation is the worst idea I have heard thus far from the Ontario government that works for citizens. Ford has already demonstrated he can not be trusted to protect our green spaces, that his cottage is the only nature he cares about. Read more

We live in the Niagara Region and we want to keep control of our own conservation authority. People from Toronto don't know or care about our region unless it's for tourism purposes. We love our wild spaces and want to preserve them. Read more

I have used the hike, bike, ski, snowshoe trails of the Sault Ste Marie conservation authority for years and these natural resources and facilities need to be managed locally. The north is too large and varied to have remote oversight. Read more
