Hey Ford, leave us alone here in Niagara. Our NPCA is doing just fine without you sticking your nose where it does not belong. Ford does not care at all about green space, nature, wildlife. He will destroy it. We do not need to amalgamate!!

This consolidation of conservation authorities is a terrible idea. It will reduce oversight, slow down approvals, increase the risk of environmental damage, and potentially open the door to development in environmentally delicate areas.

Horrible idea. Stop messing with regional authorities. Last time this happened, city amalgamation, the PCs were decimated for years. If this government thinks it can override school boards and conservation authorities it will be in for a rude awakening next election. Read more

I question the purpose of Conservation Authority amalgamation. This unwise move will greatly increase the costs of permits and other fees associated with development. This move only adds further red tape and will take longer to issue permits. Read more

I am opposed to such large CAs because local representation would be lost, there would be an increase bureaucracy and slower development. There are too many unanswered questions that need to be addressed to the public for comment before the next steps.
