I do not support the proposed consolidation of 36 conservation authorities into 7 conservation authorities. This consolidation could lead to irreparable environmental harm, and loss of expertise and knowledge.

I am not in favour of the current proposed changes to the conservation authority system. Particularly worrisome is the impact on the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan which needs local expertise to ensure that its goals move forward efficiently.
I oppose Bill 66 because it weakens local planning authority and limits public consultation, reducing transparency and community input in decisions that directly affect residents.
