It is of utmost importance to KEEP CONSERVATION LOCAL, using people who understand the challenges of local waterways in ways that is impossible for centralized decision makers to understand. Read more

I am strongly opposed to the consolidation of Conservation Authorities. Having worked at two, I realize the uniqueness of each watershed that requires a conservation authority at the watershed level, not a regional authority. Read more

I am writing to oppose the Ontario government's plan to consolidate Ontario Conservation Authorities. Each authority was created to manage its own watershed; this has been effective since 1946. Read more

More government overreach and no consultation with the various conservation authorities who have the most knowledge. Shame on you but this is a sham and the government will go ahead and push it through regardless of the harm to the areas that aren't Toronto as usual.

I do not see in any benifit of merging the existing conservation authorities into seven larger bodies. It is my opinion that the respective Conservation Authorities are the ones that best understand the drainage areas that they have control over. Read more
