I do not support the amalgamation of Ontario regional conservation authorities. The proposed amalgamations are illogical and do not reflect the environmental objectives of these organizations and their legislative mandate.
I do not support this proposal. I am concerned about it's future impacts on our watersheds and habitats. Local knowledge is key to proper management practices. Conservation authorities should remain structured the way they currently exist.
I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I am concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community.

Consolidating the authorities is an unnecessary action, especially considering the extent to which authorities effectively work together within the current bounds.
Each conservation area currently in existence is intimately aware of the ecosystem and bio-diversity of there region. This is critical in a climate crisis. Joining all of them is environmentally irresponsible.
I think this is a bad idea. Instead of making this into a large industrial company... They should keep it local and small and provide resources and support to help with specific local issues.
