I strongly oppose this change. As a gardener who works with native plants, the local knowledge of conservation authorities is very important. This drastic reduction is clearly the first step in getting rid of conservation authorities when we most need them! Read more

I strongly oppose the changes to Conservation Authorities. I’m concerned about lack of protection for water, destruction of forests, wetlands and other green spaces. I want conservation areas - big and small to walk my dog and have picnics with my children. Read more

I am writing to strongly oppose the proposal to consolidate Ontario’s 36 Conservation Authorities into 7 regional bodies (ERO 025-1257). This move will erode the local expertise essential for effective flood management and environmental protection. Read more

Please keep the Lakehead Conservation Authority in Thunder Bay for the surrounding area. They know the area, they know what this area needs, and if we become part of anything in Southern Ontario, Northwestern Ontario will be ignored. Again. Read more

Hello. I have lived in Essex County my entire life. I have been reading about the government's recent idea to consolidate the conservation authorities in Ontario. I don't think this is a good idea. Read more

As a long time resident of the area I would like to object in the strongest terms the proposed consolidating of 36 conservation authorities into 7 larger regional authorities; specifically the Lake Erie Regional Conservation Authority. Read more

As a resident of Thunder Bay for over 70 years, I strongly disagree with the plan to merge LRCA with the Huron-Superior Conservation Area. The LRCA does an excellent job dealing with the particular conditions in our area. Read more

This attempt to kneecap the important conservation efforts of local authorities is just another attack on our environment by this government. Local oversight is always more effective. Of course the authors of this effort know that. This backward step needs to be stopped in its tracks. Read more

Bigger is not always better. I feel we will be get lost in the middle. I live right in the middle of a large conservation area here and would not want to see people from afar making blanket decisions for our local area. We should keep it local.
