I would like to see the old growth pine forests surrounding the Rushton Lake Provincial Park incorporated into the Park. The surrounding area has been heavily logged and incorporating the old growth forest would provide an excellent range of habitats. Read more

The Catchocoma Forest tract of land is both a spiritual and cultural place of the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg Peoples. Any proposal to change this relationship means meaningful consent and engagement with the Treaty 20 signatories voted in the community to allow any proposal to move forward. Read more

The old growth Catchacoma forest is unique to Canada. There is extensive research to support the value of this significant old growth eastern hemlock forest, including its capacity for sequestering carbon, as a home to at-risk species and the presence of rare ecosystems on site. Read more

I am opposed to hunting being allowed and expanded in Boyne Valley Provincial Park. My grandchildren attend Primrose School and I do not want hunting anywhere close to a school. I understand that Melancthon Council has issued a formal complaint which I agree with.

I am very opposed to opening hunting in the area around Primrose Elementary School. This is irresponsible and disappointing to hear that this is even being considered. Please take in to account the motion put forward by our local council. Thank you.
