Animals need an ECOSYSTEM to survive, not just a nest/den and the immediate surroundings. The proposed redefinition of habit is not sufficient to protect wildlife and endangered species. Read more

I fully oppose these changes I am a trained and well educated biologist and these changes are appalling. They are offering less protections in favor of essentially "buying" endangered species destruction. You make me sick Ford Read more

Short term economic gains should not drive regulation. We must look at the kk g term and do the right thing for future generations. Once a species is lost it is lost forever. You can always rebuild a house or building. Stop this horrible policy.

This is one of the worst ideas I can imagine a government doing. It’s irresponsible and not necessary. We need to shift to more sustainable economic solutions not go backwards to practice that will pass consequences like environmental destruction go out later generations.

This change threatens our natural ecosystems and puts Ontario's wildlife, flora and fauna in jeopardy. Ontario has vast areas that have been protected because of unique wildlife features. These should be protected and not risked. Read more

I do not support this bill. There is a reason that it is "difficult" to apply for permission to impact currently protected natural areas. They should be protected and preserved. Read more

I’m 💯 against this proposal and feel that any housing being built is just going to benefit rich developers anyway. The houses that will be built will still be unaffordable for most. Read more

As an Ontario tax payer and a nature enthusiast, I highly demand this proposal be struck down. Decades have shown we can heal nature if we respect the land and the species that have inhabited it prior to wasteful humans. Would it not be far better to place restrictions on the immigration quota?

I believe that the provincial governments plans to update the definition of a species habitats will exacerbate the loss of species in Ontario. The new definition is too narrow and does not offer adequate protection for vulnerable species. Read more

I'm strongly opposed to Doug Ford's plan to weaken Ontario's Endangered Species Act under the guise of promoting economic development. This move prioritizes short-term profits over long-term environmental responsibility. Read more

This act will NOT protect wild life which needs protection by laws. This is another attempt by the Conservative government to get access to valuable natural lands to build large homes. This is not what Ontarians need! Read more
