I am opposed. Humans are not endangered and loosening what few protections we have for endangered species to appease humans is not good for our ecology, which humans are only a part of.

The Endangered species act is very important for the protection of species in Ontario. The new proposed bill looks to tear apart conservation at its core. These changes would no longer be protecting endangered species but fast tracking money into billionaires pockets. Read more

In these trying times, I understand the necessary changes to increase infrastructure production. Still, the entire purpose of the Endangered Species Act is to protect habitat and wildlife. It's unfathomable that the government would amend the very protection put in place. I oppose this strongly.

Sounds like a big step backwards. Wildlife requires habitat not just a dwelling. Permits must be required before a project starts to ensure developers follow the regulations. We do not want to be in a position where it’s like asking for forgiveness after the fact instead of getting permission. Read more

As a Canadian and Ontarian I am against changes/amendments. The last thing I want is to become like trump or the US. Environmental protections are for humans as well as the creatures that inhabit the land and the plant life that exists. Read more
