This will do absolutely NOTHING for protected wildlife and everything for Premier Doug Ford. Greed is his only motivation. He doesn't care for wildlife and the guidelines established to protect the many species. This is a HUGE mistake! please don't let this happen! Read more

I disagree with the elimination of the Endangered Species Act. Wildlife habitat protection is important to me and my community. This change will negatively affect the value of my community. Read more

I don’t agree with this proposal at all. Put some thought into this, as this is not going to help protect our wildlife. I feel it will do the opposite of protecting our wildlife. Please don’t do this.

As a biologist the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act are deeply concerning, and frankly short sighted, demonstrating a complete lack of understanding or care for the environment by the Ford government. Read more

It is abundantly clear that these proposed changes to Ontario’s Endangered Species Act will result in devastating losses of biodiversity and put all of Ontario’s species at further risk of extinction. Read more

Please reconsider this decision. Mature and wildlife needs support from our species not more destruction of the small amount of space we allow them to have. Soon we will have built ourselves out of our own lives by destroying everything else’s world.

With all due respect - I am deeply concerned by this proposal. Just when evidence is emerging that the loss of biodiversity could have equal or even more severe effects than environmental changes related to climate change - Ontario is proposing to relax its species protection? Read more

I have reviewed the proposed changes and find them alarming. They do not respect scientific definitions. A "habitat" cannot refer to a single dwelling of an animal or to the immediate surroundings of a single plant. Read more

Please reconsider this proposal. The negative consequences cannot be undone if this is enacted. Even if we forget the endangered species that are at risk, we humans are dependent on fully functioning ecosystems. We can make economic progress without these destructive measures. Read more

This proposal is a disgrace and absolutely cannot be approved. It's sickening that our government would even propose this. The endangered species act works and makes everyone remember that long term conservation is vital to our environment, our economy, and our humanity. Read more

I think this is a ridiculous idea talk about not caring for our environment that’s one step closer to living in a concrete jungle just like all the other decisions to over develop farm land as well

It is very important that our energies go toward not reducing habitat. We should be expanding it. Please do not take away any more wild lands or animals, birds and wildlife support systems.

I don’t think any changes are needed to this law. However changes in the administration are needed. We need to keep qualified people making the decisions regarding any permits. Our wildlife is of the upmost importance and its care is not to be taken lightly.
