I find it hard to articulate just how disgusting I find this proposal. It is very clear to me that this government cares more about developers than citizens and certainly more than our ecological heritage. Read more

Please leave the Endangered Species Act as it is. If you want to speed up the permitting and approvals process, I suggest you hire more ecologists and environmental professionals. Read more

Please reconsider eliminating the Endangered Species Act. I know the priority of the provincial government is to build more houses or increase other infrastructure, but we CANNOT do that at the expense of other species, especially endangered ones.

Who thinks that this is a good idea. This is incredible that they would harm our wild life. I would be careful that God doesn’t change your mind, but you probably don’t believe in Him. Read more

I'm writing to say that the Endangered Species Act must be preserved. We must protect Ontario's ecosystems for future generations to enjoy - but also to address the changing climate. Read more

One of the few things that makes Canada Canada is the diversity of wildlife. Canadian heritage and wildlife moments were a key part of public broadcasting for many of us growing up. Read more

This proposed legislation will reduce protection to only active nests or dwellings - ignoring decades of science that shows species need full, connected ecosystems to persist and recover. Read more

While there have been a couple of issues on which I have agreed with Doug Ford, this kind of thing is exactly why I can never vote for him or his party. A power grab by a provincial government that has already shown complete disregard for green spaces and the natural beauty of this province. Read more

Submitting my complete opposition to this absolute garbage plan. Environmental protection is critical for the health and well being of future generations, certainly not to be tossed aside to please corporate donors, wealthy developers, and garner kickbacks. Read more

We’ve taken enough, the birds and creatures that inhabit these environments deserve to have protection. This would be a huge step back in conservation and could be catastrophic to birds and other species. These environments do not belong to us and need to remain protected. Read more

Please protect our birds and wildlife. I live in Stittsville, Ontario wetlands area and there is so much nature around the neighborhood. These birds are like family and bring daily joy.

This is not the time to stop the protection of the endangered animals just to make the planing and completion of projects. Due diligence needs to be the first priority to continue the steps currently in place Read more

These areas need to be protected. Urban sprawl is a serious problem, the province needs to get more creative in solving problems rather than steamrolling protected areas and endangering species. Kill this bill Read more

We strongly disagree with the major changes that the Ontario government is proposing to the Endangered Species Act, 2007 and the introduction of a new Species Conservation Act, 2025. The consequences of these proposals would: • Undermine science-based decision-making Read more

I believe this is a deeply disturbing proposal considering how consistently we have been losing animals to extinctions, we are losing species at a rate never seen before in the history of han record and to see my province considering downgrading it's support for endangered species is as appauling as Read more
