You were not voted in to disrupt things Ford. Our wildlife is part of Ontario, part of Canada. One of the things that makes canada beautiful. You need to undo this. Stop your destruction.

I strongly oppose this new legislation, which not only dismantles essential protections for endangered wildlife and ecosystems, but also disregards the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous communities. This bill represents a profound failure of responsible governance. Read more

There is no evidence that sacrificing our biodiversity and steamrolling our most vulnerable natural assets will benefit Ontarians. This Bill would abandon Ontario’s commitment to protecting species and ensuring their recovery. We must protect our vulnerable ecosystems, plants, and animals.

I do not believe the government should have the ability to remove animal from protected status. The government is not an environmentally focused organization. Giving the government the ability to remove animals from the list means the government could change the list for its own benefit. Read more

These protections are critical and should not be rolled back. As Canadians we should be valuing the wildlife we have, protecting it, and not letting corporate and political greed get in the way. I firmly disagree with the proposed changes and there is nothing to be gained from doing so.

This is not scientifically based AT ALL. This will hurt the people of Ontario as it will be an ecologically disaster. This will effect clean drinking water, this will actually KILL people and it is all on the shoulders of the Ontario Conservative Party. Read more

I strongly oppose the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act and the creation of the Species Conservation Act. Weakening habitat protections, allowing political interference in species listing, and removing recovery planning will accelerate biodiversity loss. Read more

This new proposal is ridiculous. Tightening the budget on conservation effectively reduces jobs in the field, therefore causing LESS conservation to be done properly. Less environmental workers and budget is not the answer. Read more

This is absolutely disgraceful. If “harassing” protecting species is allowed and funding is cut for our vulnerable species, there will be a whole lot more harassing coming your way.

I disagree overall with this interim proposal intended to repeal the Endangered Species Act and replace it with the Species Conservation Act. I ask that the Ontario Government does not go forward with this proposal for the following reasons: Read more

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed amendments to the Endangered Species Act, 2007, and the plan to replace it with the so-called Species Conservation Act, 2025. Read more
