Please reconsider. The need for slowing down development in the face of biodiversity loss and climate change needs to be taken very seriously. Once those habitats/species are disturbed there is no going back. Read more

Please don’t do this. This is a backwards notion. This is not looking to the future, this is being the evil mad man in a movie. We can be progressive without destroying something else. Build with things, upon things, not destruction to line the pockets of the premier.

This proposal is ridiculous, Ontario needs to preserve and protect OUR nature, not pad the pockets of developers. Get with the program Dougie, you can do the right thing here.

These proposed changes are beyond short sighted and show the desire and intent to value and prioritize the interest of private companies and developers over the health of the land and the people. Read more

Removing environmental protections will destroy our treasured environment. If countries like Australia and New Zealand can have progress and economic growth while also maintaining our environment, we can do this same. This is just lazy policy making. Read more

Endangered species are valuable in and of themselves - valuing short term profits gained from extracting minerals or other natural resources at the expense of endangered flora and fauna destroys the economic value of the endangered species. Read more

I do not support this proposal. The government should not be able to remove species as being protected, this creates an incentive to miscategorize them for economic and social gain, which appears to be the purpose of this proposal. Read more

This is not what you were elected to do. This is an utterly disgusting bill that would destroy species and the environment. This helps no one except the elite by lining their pockets with the blood of animals. Read more

This proposal doesn’t really help protect Ontario’s wildlife and feels more like it’s helping big developers cut corners. By letting people start potentially harmful activities just by registering online, there’s way less oversight to make sure they’re doing the right thing. Read more

The sheer gall of this government! Gutting environmental laws to ram through your corrupt, garbage projects that will contribute nothing to the Province of Ontario and its people! Read more

What’s the point of making laws to protect the environment if we just choose to change those laws whenever it’s convenient for the government in power to do so. Read more

Please do not do this, I'm not an environmentalist, I'm in the construction industry, I know this process does not create much of a barrier overall, and it is also for something that is objectively valuable (endangered species). Read more

I do not support this proposal. These species and the programs that support them are already chronically underfunded. There must be change to increase support to these species and research behind them not a decrease
