I do not agree with the proposed changes and do not encourage the Ontario government to go through with it. This could irreparably destroy ecosystems important for sustaining our environment and the wild life in our province.
I oppose this Bill. We need stronger environmental protections and greener solutions to creating infrastructure and development. I oppose reducing environmental protections and overriding public review of environmental impacts of industrial projects, both private and public.
I strongly oppose Bill 5. Allowing the Ford government to create "special economic zones" where chosen “trusted proponents” are exempt from provincial and municipal laws is a dangerous overreach.
