This is the last thing Ontario needs. Ontarians care about our wildlife, this bill cares about making money for those in power. It makes me sick that we have to fight for these rights for a clean, healthy environment constantly.

The Endangered Species Act needs strengthening, not weakening. All species of turtle found in Ontario are endangered, frogs are at risk, and the "once in a lifetime" storms have been becoming more frequent. Read more

I understand the need for housing and road structures. However, when did 'red tape' become a bad work? These regulations were made to protect our environment, our heritage, and our people. Read more

There is no evidence that sacrificing our biodiversity, and running roughshod over our most precious and vulnerable natural assets will benefit Ontarians. The only thing that has been ‘unleashed’ with this bill is an irrational vendetta against vulnerable ecosystems, plants, and animals. Read more

Bill 5 is a blatant rollback of environmental protections in Ontario. Replacing the Endangered Species Act with a watered-down Species Conservation Act strips away meaningful safeguards for at-risk wildlife. Read more
