I am no expert on endangered species, but from what I understand, if you don't protect them, they disappear. Allowing further endangerment of animals at risk just to satisfy corporate interests feels like a step that cannot be undone.
This feels wreckless and wholly unnecessary.

I don’t agree with this bill because we should not take short cuts that damage our country in the future. A small amount of people will benefit but it jeopardizes the health of our ecosystem and ultimately our people.
As much as I understand the need for development in Ontario I am opposed to development at the cost of our limited natural resources and environment. We must protect the animals and environments which came before us, and weakening those protections is a terrible way to move forward.

The current system is in place for a reason, and the absence of a replacement "application" process at this stage of approval is concerning. It reads like once you register your project, your actions are completely indemnified with no oversight.
