Regulations and due processes are in place to protect our native species and environment, as these changes recommended by Bill 5 prioritize developer interests over ecological preservation. Read more

As an Ontarian, I completely disagree with and disavow this proposed legislation. We must keep - and enhance - environmental protections. Full stop. This is a bad proposal which will cause long term harm to the ecological stability of the province. Read more

I am strongly opposed to Bill 5. This bill is antidemocratic, and I insist on stronger protections for wildlife, especially endangered species. I am opposed to any shortcuts being created for industry - once a piece of protected land or a habitat is gone, it's gone forever. Read more

I cannot understand how a government can even suggest such a proposal! Have we not learned by now that when we take away one level it weakens the rest until eventually we have a total collapse. Read more

I strongly oppose Bill 5. I want strong environmental protections. I want stronger protections for endangered species. I oppose short cuts for industry with little or no public oversight. I oppose overrides in special economic zones. Stop this madness before it starts. Read more

I strongly oppose this proposal, which would significantly weaken Ontario’s environmental protections under the guise of streamlining infrastructure development. Our natural ecosystems are not obstacles to development — they are the very foundation of our health, economy, and quality of life. Read more

I oppose bill 5. We need oversight and environmental protections. Biodiversity and species protection are more important than backroom deals. Under no circumstance should the government able to hijack important environmental accountability. Read more

I oppose bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. I oppose shortcuts for industry. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones. Industrialization should never take priority over environmental protections. Read more
