I am strongly opposed to Bill 5. This bill is antidemocratic, and I insist on stronger protections for wildlife, especially endangered species. I am opposed to any shortcuts being created for industry - once a piece of protected land or a habitat is gone, it's gone forever.

The intent of streamlining/coordinating the process for greater efficiency is understood. The updated approach to species protection includes new systems and structures but beneath the surface, several changes weaken the province’s ability to prevent species decline and extinction.
