We need to be focused on protecting and empowering our environment now more than ever. If anything we should be making it even harder to pave over existing green space for developers, not easier.

I, my family, and my community oppose Bill 5 in the strongest possible terms. If anything, we need *more* protections for endangered species, all our native wildlife, and the areas in which they reside. We need to stop prioritizing corporate interests and greed over our actual literal country.

I strongly oppose Bill 5 and these shortcuts that favour industry over Ontarians true interests and will vote accordingly in the next election. I support stronger protections for the environment and endangered species.

These changes would weaken environmental protections, limit environmental safeguards for development projects, undermine the duty to consult indigenous populations and ignore their rights and perspectives. Please do not do this!! We care about the animals. Read more

I strongly oppose Bill 5, the Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act. This legislation poses a serious threat to Ontario’s natural heritage, democratic processes and Indigenous rights. Read more

I strongly oppose bill 5. We need stronger environmental laws, not weaker. We need more industrial oversight, not less. This bill is agains everything Ontarians want, accept of course developers that plan to clear cut out green belt and pollute. Shame on everyone in support of this bill. Read more

I do not, under any circumstances, want Premier Doug Ford and his Greenbelt scandal developer cronies to be able to bypass the governmental regulations. This applies especially in the case of environmental regulations of the Endangered Species Act. Read more

This makes it harder to keep developers accountable for ecological damage. Canada already has vulnerable ecosystems and the proposed is a threat to that. The Endangered Species Act is not designed for industries to create pathways to bypass accountability. Read more
