I oppose Bill 5.
We should be putting in place stronger environmental protections, not weaker ones. The environment effects every person living in this province, and we cannot put our futures at risk for short term gain.

I do not agree with Bill 5 as it is currently written. I feel it is more destructive than constructive. There would be a substantial negative ripple effect environmentally, with an increase in ecosystem issues, as a result of what Bill 5 proposes.
I am against Bill 5.

How can we destroy our environment when it’s the only one we have?

More than enough damage has been done to the environment already. We need to clean up not make more toxins. Money can't buy and keep good health for our children and all generations to come. Our first responsibility is to them and not mega-corps whether domestic or foreign.

I comment on the proposed changes to laws that protect the earth, animals and any further pollution to our environment. Please vote NO to Premier Ford's attempt to carry out more destruction of Ontario.

My greatest concerns with this proposal are:
1) That proponents may begin as soon as they are registered rather than await permits. This creates an "ask for forgiveness rather than permission" process. Proponents are not known for their engagement with the honour system.

That is so stupid and selfish to do. Our land is so sacred and the wildlife that live within it own the land. This is not something Ontario needs more than protected land. No one wants this but the richer Ontario folks who think commercial property is more important than the environment.

I think the Ford government’s attempt to by pass environmental laws is just another twist of the knife for Ontarian’s who disagree with this massive misuse of government funds to strip Ontario Place of everything that made it special.

I strongly oppose Bill 5. The Endangered Species Act is vital to assess the damage that could be done to vulnerable species and their habitats before commencing construction to ensure their protection.
