The bill would allow the province to issue a developer's permit even if a project will cause severe decline to a species or result in the extinction of a species. This is not geared towards the preservation of endangered wildlife and should not be allowed to proceed.

The current approach to the protection and conservation of species at risk is complicated... because protecting wildlife in the face of human influences is complicated. Delays don't become "unnecessary" just because developers don't like them, or don't care about the consequences of their work. Read more

Hey! I don't think its a good idea to make building easier at the expense of wildlife and important habitat. Southern Ontario especially is home to many threatened and endangered species and we aren't doing a lot to help them out or protect them. Read more

The current act causes delays in building for a very good reason: thorough analysis of any potential. Gutting and getting rid of these time delays will allow short-term gratification of more buildings, but no one wants to live in a wasteland. Read more
