I cannot believe this is even a consideration. Under Doug Ford, Ontario has just gotten worse and worse especially in regards to healthcare and education, and this proposal is just another nail in the coffin. Protect our wildlife! How is this even a legitimate proposal. A joke. Read more

I would hope that you are aware that most species, plant or animal, are co-dependents with all the other native species. If one disappears, the others cannot always compensate for what they have lost. Read more

This is so strange. Even my 3 to 5 year old students work hard to build an understanding about the protection and conservation of species at risk. They do not complain about how much time it takes to list the endangered species because they realize it is very important. Read more

To condemn endangered species for selfish gain is heinous. An act so vile that of course it’s under Doug Ford’s ruling. Whether we like it or not, and whether we believe it or not, every species plays a vital role in our lives, keeping the ecological system in balance. Read more

We need to protect our endangered species and environment. For Pete’s sake, they are endangered for a reason, they need proper and thorough protections in place! If we lose any species or their habitat for that matter, the ecosystem consequences will be dire. Read more

I, a youth advocate in Malvern Scarborough. Strongly denouncing the repeal of the Endangered Species Act. Please think of the next seven generations if not ours when you make bills that have huge environmental effects like this will have. Read more

I am extremely against this bill. I think history will look back on this and see what a huge mistake it was, and it will cause irreversible harm to the environment and just a reminder- we are part of the ecosystem too, and we depend on it! Read more

As someone who cares deeply about this province, affordable housing, and the environment, the proposed changed to the Endangered Species Act, 2007 and its replacement, the Species Conservation Act, 2025 are extremely troubling and I cannot support this in good conscience. Read more

Wildlife requires more than merely where they live/den. There are feeding and migration paths that are critical to their survival. By not including all needed areas of a species survival, breeding, migration routes you are putting their very survival at a risk that is unacceptable. Read more

This is a blatant disregard for the species in which we have already pushed to the point of endangerment. If passed there will be irreparable damage to Ontario ecosystems and the species within them. I urge those with power to do so to vote against these proposed changes.
