This bill is very dangerous in so many ways. We have hurt wildlife substantially over the years with the seemingly never ending new developments in the GTA. I implore this government to look at the whole picture and consider the impact on the future of these animals prior to passing this bill.

The endangered species act is critical to preserving the environment within Ontario and is one of the main reasons that our province looks the way it does. Do not get rid of this act because if it disappears, what we know and love about our amazing home, will no longer look the same.

I’m denouncing this; it’s simple unethical and short sided thinking. Protecting the wellbeing of endangered species and our environment is IMPORTANT and not something to be looked at as a hassle and a roadblock. The future of our country is more than just “development” and capitalism. Read more

I am 82 years old and lived in Ontario all my life. There is no excuse to deregulte any Environmental impact for sake of Development. Current Govt Headed by Doug Ford does not respect laws and rules that are inflate to protect our wildlife and lands from unnecessary Development Read more

This bill shows a fundamental lack of understanding of wildlife conservation and habitat protection. It allows individuals to jump start habitat destruction without any oversight and leaves species at risk open to abuse and removal of their at risk status and protections. Read more

There shoukd not be any changes to this Act except to out tighter restrictions protecting endangered species. Stop taking away protections for our wildlife and greenbelts. Pritect the land and stop lining the pockets of developers and companies expploitibg our natural resources.
