This is disgusting and taking us backward at last 50 years. I am so disappointed in how this government treats our environment. What's going to be next? Filling in wetlands? Telling private environmental organizations that they have no right to try and protect wildlife and their habitats. Read more

This is absolutely unacceptable from our Conservative government. These are necessary protections to ensure Ontario’s diverse and necessary ecosystem avoids collapse. Do not move forward with this - it is a death sentence for many of our species.

This is absolutely unacceptable and must be taken seriously. Doug Ford is a nightmare and our protected lands don’t need to be compromised to build more homes and accommodate transit. Read more

Hi there, this is not a good idea. Endangered and protected species need to stay protected. The interdependence of species means that what endangers birds can ripple out and affect other species and that includes us! Read more

This is unacceptable to remove this Act!! Do you have any idea how many birds, frogs, wildlife you will endanger by this?! They have lived and migrated to these areas as habitat, to protect them. Omg you want to just visit zoos and aviaries in the future, for the next generations. Read more

This is absolutely not okay!!! Please revisit this idea, keep Ontario and Canadian parks protected for wildlife. As a Canadian, we pride ourselves on conservation of our beautiful land and wildlife. Do not disrupt this.

Please do not replace or remove the endangered species act! This idea is so wrong and we didn't reelect this government to run over all our rights and protection act. Look at what they proposed in Dresden..? Read more

We've already destroyed countless acres of habitat, in the name of housing and infrastructure. It's reckless to remove one of the last things stopping developers from trampling on what's left. Start building UP and stop building OUT. We need more housing, but not at the expense of at risk habitat.

You should be ashamed of yourselves for even considering these changes. Lining the pockets of developers instead of focusing on protecting our endangered species, our environment and the very eco system we depend on to survive. Read more

As a passionate lover of nature, I strongly object to Bill 5. This bill would repeal Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, replacing it with a much weaker law that strips away meaningful protections for species at risk and their habitats. Read more
