We as a property owner are not allowed to do anything water related, take from, reconstruct….. I absolutely disagree that a gravel pit should be allowed to take from the saugeen! If they cannot dig a well like a home owner is required to do then they should not draw from that source!!! Period!!!

This request appears to be a blanket 24/7 maximum usage of water from the Saugeen River Watershed. It's an extension of an existing license with no requirement of up-to-date environmental awareness.

This is unacceptable! This is a massive amount of water. With the lady pot that went in (now closed) we saw our water table and well affected. We live about a mile and a half from where that pit was. This is a much larger volume, and will surely adversely impact a much wider area.
I urge the government to NOT grant this permit. The fact that it is a Category 3 permit which means that it will have unacceptable effects on the environment, means that granting the permit is unacceptable.

The rivers are an important watershed for Lake Huron. It is also used extensively for recreation purposes. Allowing Walker to take water 24 hours a day 365 days a year can only impact the water flow and quality of our rivers.

What a sneaky, Slimy way of doing business. The consulting firm that came around 3 weeks after the permit was applied for.. acted as if he knew nothing of the proposal. What a disgrace. I have been in areas that have had water permits changed. They have resulted in wells drying up..
