I feel this water taking would highly impact the saugeen river drastically and ruin it as a fishery and canoe/kayaking destination. I’ve used this water way for 30 years. And the water levels the last 5-10 years have dropped drastically already.

Category 3 impact on the Environment is not acceptable. The Saugeen River is a pristine watershed in SWOntario. Once it’s ruined there is no turning back. Don’t let this happen!
I believe this proposal, if granted, will seriously impact the environment along the Saugeen River and other tributaries. It will negatively impact the fish and wildlife in the area and do irreparable harm to our ecosystem.

The information provided here is insufficient to evaluate the proposed project. What pond is the proponent going to draw water from? Where will the effluents from this activity go? Recent satellite images don't even show a pond at the specified location.

I do not believe that a company should be able to apply for a permit to take water from the Saugeen and Styx rivers at a Category 3 level without putting all their information online for everyone to see. Where is the transparency?

I really hate to see this happening to our beautiful saugeen and Styx rivers. I enjoyed as a child and my children do now as well. Do we really need more of these pits effecting our environment??
Once again a private company is trying to take water from a natural resource without considering the potential impact on it for now and for future generations. Shame on you!
As an avid angler and outdoorsman who enjoys spending countless hours on the sugeen river, I can not believe that this application is even being considered.

Save the river and animals species. Over a large amount of habitat, animal species and plant species will all be affected by this proposition. We need to make sure to put natural habitat first so we can continue to enjoy the fishing, camping and memorize for years to come.

I oppose the permit. The adverse impacts of such takings on river water temperatures will be magnified in the future as Ontario continues to experience record summer temperatures.

Let me express my vehement opposition to this permit application to take water. The Saugeen River is in one of the few remaining healthy watersheds left in Ontario. I own property on the River and 90% of my enjoyment of the property is derived from the Saugeen.

Not sure why this is even being considered. This is a horrible proposal that must be stopped immediately. I live in the area and would be devastated if this was pushed through. Please do the right thing and stop this.
Not okay with the approval of this. It’s been deemed category 3 already. If there is any negative impact to the water source walker as well as the committee that approved it should be held responsible as well as liable
