There does not seem to be any pond there, so this is clearly coming from the river. This amount of water use will significantly impact water levels in the river, impact negatively on wildlife, and potentially contaminate or impact the various residential wells in the area. Read more

It has been brought to our attention that the gravel pit will be taking a much larger amount of water then was initially told to the community. I feel betrayed and disgusted with this amendment. My family and I no longer support this project as residents of the Forest Creek Community.

I object to any water taking at the Redford Walker Pit 381769 Cons 4 NDR West Grey. Ministry reference number 025-0587 As a neighbouring resident within 120 m of the subject property I feel notification for an amendment of this magnitude should be required. No notification was given. Read more

Having grown up by the Saugeen river, I am opposed to this irresponsible request to take water from the river. This application from a Niagara company with no regard for or consideration for the impacts of their actions on the local communities and ecosystems that rely on this river is disgusting. Read more

This sounds like a threat to our clean abundant water supply. What is it? Because we object to your proposed pit and the additional two in the works that you have now decided to use the local clean fresh water for your dirty laundry and as a lever to get your own way. Read more

We should not be allowing the removals of water from this pit. There is already too much water being removed from our waterways and water table. Why was this aspect not raised from the beginning of the request for approval of pit, it was because they knew it would receive protests!
