There does not seem to be any pond there, so this is clearly coming from the river. This amount of water use will significantly impact water levels in the river, impact negatively on wildlife, and potentially contaminate or impact the various residential wells in the area.

It has been brought to our attention that the gravel pit will be taking a much larger amount of water then was initially told to the community. I feel betrayed and disgusted with this amendment. My family and I no longer support this project as residents of the Forest Creek Community.

As a neighbouring resident within 120 m of the subject property I feel notification for an amendment of this magnitude should be required. No notification was given.

This absolutely should not be permitted, what a terrible environmental impact it will have on the water quality and the life in that water that depend on it. I am absolutely against this being approved.
Saugeen River is right near this pit, so dropping water level of river and ground water near for current agriculture production along with affecting property wells in this area.

Please do not entertain this request/proposal from Walker Aggregates. Too much damage will be done that cannot be reversed. This proposal will not be for the greater good of that community.
I don't believe this should ever be a thing. Category 3 even states it could be catastrophic for the environment around it so why should this even be considered? If opinions count for something, say no to this proposal.

The proposal to take almost 8,000,000 litres of water per day out of Saugeen and Stix River is totally unacceptable. This will have a significant impact on available water downstream and on wildlife. Please reject this proposal.
This sounds like a threat to our clean abundant water supply. What is it? Because we object to your proposed pit and the additional two in the works that you have now decided to use the local clean fresh water for your dirty laundry and as a lever to get your own way.

This company in the past has used methods to re-use the water they have on site through a series of silt ponds. No need to expand the amount of water taken; reuse the amount already being accessed as has been done in the past.

We should not be allowing the removals of water from this pit. There is already too much water being removed from our waterways and water table. Why was this aspect not raised from the beginning of the request for approval of pit, it was because they knew it would receive protests!
