This is a welcome but very modest step toward more rational and effective air quality management in Ontario. It is in itself of limited significance because it only addresses 2 contaminants, and only applies to new/increased emissions in 2 areas where contamination already regularly exceeds AAQCs. The policy only applies to new or expanding facilities; this is not good enough in Hamilton where we have existing facilities that are currently contributing signification emissions. These must be included also and being exempt with grand father clauses be removed [Original Comment ID: 212383]
