I have been an Ontario citizen since 1979. It was with great concern that I learned about your goverment’s proposed changes to our province’s environmental protection legislation via your proposed Bill 132.

As an Ontario citizen, I oppose this bill. Bill 132 will reduce the crucial financial implications for companies to be responsible for their waste, and will allow companies to pollute our important fresh water without fear of financial hardship.

I would like to express that I do not support the loosening of penalties for causing environmental damage.
This is in reference to schedule 9 of this act, the rewrite of section 182.1 of the Environmental Protection Act.

I believe the endangering of our water systems could be irreparable. I personally visited a local water station in my region, an the information i learned there was that we had over 100 wells.
