Our municipality of Elora Centre Wellington has been extremely vocal in opposing the sale and use of our water to and by commercial bottling companies. We voted for and have a mayor - Mayor Kelly Linton who also opposed this use of our water. Lire davantage

I am completely against ANY business/corporation/company taking water from my local aquifer and selling it to other places in the world. Small plastic bottles of water sold for high prices are ecologically unacceptable. Tanker trucks moving MINED water for bottling, tear up the roads, costing municipalities maintenance. Water is our most precious commodity and should never be privatized and sold for profit.
