We can never regain the wetlands and protected land areas if house are built on the Greenbelt. We can never recover species, if Hwy 413 is built on farmland. The Conservatives are out to appease and support developers over the right of Ontarians to preserve our valuable lands.

Understand that he is a servant to the public.
Doug Ford is a threat to our future and a threat to democracy. He should be investigated and removed from office.

The greebnbelt doesn't exist for Doug's buddies to get rich off of.
There more than enough land inside urban areas to grow. Instentification should absolutely take priority ver sprawl and expanding urban boundaries.
This is not only criminal, it is not actually going to address housing affordability. There is a mountain of evidence that there should be density intensification over urban sprawl.

I do not agree with amending the greenbelt plan. Keep green spaces green - repurpose or build multi-residential units in previously designated residential and urban areas.
STOP THIS ENCROACHMENT OF THE GREEN BELT. PUT INTO LAW THAT THE DEVELOPERS MUST DEVELOP THE LANDS THEY OWN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND CANNOT BUY MORE LAND. THERE IS SO MUCH VACANT LAND ALL OVER THE PLACE THAT DEVELOPERS ARE SITTING ON.

I’m writing to you today in support of the Greenbelt, Conservation Authorities and Ontario’s wetlands, woodlands and other natural areas.
Firstly, I am writing to state my opposition to Bill 23, the proposal to remove 7,400 acres of land from the Greenbelt, which was revealed on November 04.

Developing housing in the Greenbelt is not only unnecessary, as the government's own affordable housing task force stated in it's Feb. 2022 report, but also it will set a dangerous precedent for further development in other ecologically significant lands like the Oak Ridges Moraine where I live.

We cannot solve our housing problem by worsening our climate problem. The use of the greenbelt is completely unnecessary to accomplish our housing goals. We need more educated leadership.
WHEREAS Bill 23 is the Ford Government latest attempt to remove protected land from the Greenbelt, allowing developers to bulldoze and pave over 7,000 acres of farmland in the Greenbelt;
WHEREAS Ontario is already losing 319.6 acres of farmland and greenspace daily to development;

There are over 80,000 acres of land already marked for future development and added to urban and suburban boundaries- we don't need to build homes and warehouses on the greenbelt.

Neither myself nor anyone I know personally support of redrawing the greenbelt land barriers. There is ample buildable space in and around all areas proposed for zoning amendment, and they should be prioritized for additional housing developments of mixed density.
