I think it's ridiculous at this time in our history, when we are promoting high levels of immigration while at the same time experiencing an acute shortage of affordable housing that the government is considering more restrictions on what is the last vestige of out-of-the-box thinking in terms of af Lire davantage

This is an industry crushing decision. As a responsible Ontario boater, this would press me to sell our boat. Causing the value of all boats to tank, and the death of many businesses and many jobs that rely on Ontario boat ownership. Lire davantage

I am very concerned about the threat from transient vessels to the environment and water quality in particular, on the Great Lakes and in particular along the eastern coastline of Georgian Bay. Lire davantage

I applaud the province for addressing this new and growing threat to the quality of life for both human inhabitants and all other species living on the UNESCO-designated Georgian Bay World Biosphere. Lire davantage

I have been long supporter of your party, but this is definitely a sign that it's time for a change. This proposal does not make any sense. As a sailboat owner, why are my rights limited vs lakefront cottage owners that can use the lake with no restrictions? Lire davantage

These proposed changes will in fact only incite division and rage between seasonal boaters and cottage owners. All of the noise of late is around the floating container cottages, and yet this will target true boaters more. Lire davantage

We have sailed on Lake Simcoe for many years. As sailing is a rather slow means of transportation we often anchor for the night as we travel around the lake. Lire davantage

I have reviewed the original letter from Peter D Henry to municipalities, the documents for # 019-6590 and watched the session on 8th March. I feel there needs to be more clarification on how these changes will impact residents of northern Ontario. Lire davantage

This almost forces as Georgian bay cruisers to consider selling our vessel, and use our leisure dollars and spend it elsewhere likely out of country and province. Lire davantage

This legislation severely impacts the enjoyment of navigable vessels; with the 300 meter rule and the limit of number of days cumulative of 21 to 7 days. This needs to be omitted from the proposed legislation as it applies to vessels with overnight accommodation. Lire davantage

The stated intention of this proposed change is laudable and many of its component parts make a lot of sense. The new condition prohibiting camping on water within 300m of a developed shoreline is unreasonable. Lire davantage

While it’s laudable to wrap these proposals around environmental concerns, it’s obvious that waterfront cottage owners are being catered to. A banning of discharging grey and black water into our lakes and rivers would make far more sense. Lire davantage
