Bike lanes make roads safer for cyclists a well as for pedestrians, disabled, and children who otherwise may be required to share the sidewalk with e bikes, scooters and bikes.

I am opposed to Schedule 5 of Bill 60. The intent is to keep people and goods moving by creating more capacity on roads for vehicles. But what do you think bikes carry? Bikes carry people and goods with a capacity about 20 times what a car lane would provide. Lire davantage

So, here we go again. Unfortunately, the courts did not stop the Province from blocking new bike lanes. And now it is trying to do exactly that with Bill 60, Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act. We need to increase cycling infrastructure and public transit capacity to reduce congestion and provide safe and attractive options to people to travel without a car. There is simply not enough space in the city for cars to be prioritized over other types of transit. Lire davantage

To make Ontario’s roads safer and more reliability we need an active and public transportation. These modes mores of transportation are much more space efficient the single occupancy vehicles and they are much safer. To promote these methods the province needs more bike and bus lanes. I'm a cyclist and a driver -- and I unequivocally oppose this proposal. Having a dedicated, protected bike lane means I can predict where cyclists will be when I'm driving, and avoid hitting them or having to slam on my breaks at the last minute. Lire davantage

Safe bike infrastructure is what the city needs. You can’t solve gridlock with more lanes of traffic. There will never be enough space for everyone to drive a car in the city. Improve transit and bike infrastructure.
