Ford needs to get with the times and get out of his car. Bike lanes save lives, and I use them daily. Tunnels under the 401 are an exercise in Induced Demand. Get a more progressive person to handle our future you Neanderthal . Read the facts and don't take bribes from your developer buddies

Everything this bill purports to accomplish, it will do the opposite. It will worsen traffic congestion due to induced demand. According to the provincial government’s own experts, bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock. Lire davantage

If we look at Europe we need to take note of their ability to incorporate cycling as an everyday method of commuting for saving the planet, reducing traffic congestion, improving physical and mental health of our population to make an overall better society. Canadians can do better!

This Bill has my full support and I hope it can correct the chaos created by bike lanes installed on major roads.

Arbitrarily restricting bike lane installation province wide is a disaster for proper planning based on local needs, and is an not a policy that promotes efficiency. It goes against research that repeatedly shows that adding bike lanes reduces congestion and increases economic activity.

Since bike lanes enable transportation other than using motor vehicles, it only makes sense to be able to take away motor vehicle lanes to build safe, separate bike lanes. Lire davantage

This is clearly provincial government overreach. Why not let municipalities do what is right for their constituents. Too much of a power grab by the provincial conservatives. Every community is different.

There is no evidence that removing bike lanes or not allowing them is going to improve congestion. In fact, now all those cyclists will be sitting in cars and last time I checked, a car was bigger than a bike. And don't pretend people will carpool. That just isn't true. Lire davantage

I believe municipalities have the right to decide where they would like to build bike lanes. I do not support bill 60.

The government’s own experts know there is no link between traffic congestion and bike lanes; removing or banning bike lanes does not reduce congestion. Lire davantage

It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. It will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. The government’s ownexperts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock. Lire davantage

As a Toronto resident and daily cyclist, I am writing to express my strong opposition to Bill 60. This legislation would strip cities of the ability to make evidence-based decisions about our own streets, undermining safety, sustainability, and local democracy. Lire davantage

This is extremely upsetting to me as someone who wants to feel safe while riding my bike (this is the most affordable transport option for me!) and also as someone who cares about the environment. With the cost of living rising, forcing people into cars is not the thing to do!

I want to live in a place where people can bike freely and safely to get to where they need to go. More and more people use the bike share in Toronto, which I think is a good thing - it saves time and money, and encourages an active and healthy lifestyle. Lire davantage

Once again, this is an egregious overreach by the provincial government into municipal affairs. Determining road allocation and transit design should be the exclusive purview of the people who live in those areas and are most directly impacted by any changes. Lire davantage

Stop doing stupid things. Municipalities should be making their own decisions about the design of their urban areas. Stop putting targets on the backs of cyclists - we just want safe places to ride - for pleasure, to work, for whatever purpose - leave us alone.

I rely on bike lanes to get around the city safely and quickly, designated bus routes in Scarborough make commuting quicker and more streamlined. Patios on city streets make the city vibrant and walkable. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are vital for public safety. We should be encouraging people to use means of travel besides cars.
