I am strongly in opposition to this Bill and the proposals within. The government should focus on moving PEOPLE not just cars. Public transit, active transit (biking) and smart urban design are much more efficient and effective priorities than making more space for cars. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are important to me. We don't have a car. Instead, my husband, my 9-year-old daughter, and I take our bikes or public transit to get around. Lire davantage

This is another attempt of this government to put people in danger. This bill makes it harder to improve pedestrian infrastructure, not only cycling infrastructure. Lire davantage

I disagree with your rationale for restricting bike lanes via Bill 60...which is also too encompassing and will allow abuse through open interpretations.

I live and work between the Humber and the Don Rivers. More specifically between Bathurst and Parliament and from the lake to St. Clair. The dedicated bike lanes have made traveling by bicycle somewhat easier for cyclists and for me as a car driver, not noticeably slower. Lire davantage

Stop trying to find different ways to interfere with cities and let the cities decide what is best for their local population. Lire davantage

This bill is an assault on the safety of Ontarians, and should not be implemented. People will die, and it will be Doug Ford and the Conservative Party's fault. The province should be funding the expansion of protected bike lanes throughout the province.

I am in strong opposition. This is limiting municipalities' ability to make decisions and install bike lanes. Bike lanes are proven to reduce traffic congestion, reduce pollution, improve health and community safety. Lire davantage

I love cars. I own more than my fair share and couldn't live without. But this is a preposterous proposition that stands against the interests of the people. It is anti-evidence virtue-signaling to a minority, and backwards-looking, view. Lire davantage

This bill will not improve traffic and will only increase the death and injury that occurs on our roads!

This bill is an egregious waste of tax-payer money and time, and runs against common sense, public safety, and even the laws of our province. It is ironic to the point of being laughable that this is an Environmental bill. Lire davantage

As a resident of Toronto, I strongly oppose the proposed amendment under Bill 60 (ERO 025-1071) that would prohibit municipalities from reducing motor-vehicle lanes when installing new bicycle lanes. Lire davantage

We need more bike lanes!! Don’t make them harder to install.

I am utterly opposed to this Bill and the details. Specifically prohibiting vehicle lanes for new bicycle lanes. Firstly, the provincial government needs to stay out of municipal governance. Lire davantage

Bill 60 is counter-productive for the movement of people through cities, and is dangerous for all users of urban streets. As a driver, and as someone who is also a pedestrian and a cyclist and a transit user, I am deeply concerned about this proposed legislation. Lire davantage

the ford government is going to be seen to be on wrong side of history with this, it's not the legacy any politician will want to have - simply do the right thing and support bike lanes in a positive way

When you build bike lanes, people use them. We have seen this across the city. Rather than creating more congestion, they get more cars off the road; which are the number one reason for congestion. Please help be part of the solution. Lire davantage

Bill 60 is a gross misuse of power and government overreach thar strips local authority of their evidence-backed, community supported input to improve said communities with beneficial infrastructure, in favor of futher promoting car-dependency. Lire davantage

This initiative is counter to the evidence provided to the government by the civil service and other experts, and its is anti-democratic by unnecessarily stripping municipal governments of existing powers. Lire davantage

As a resident of teh City of Toronto, I am outraged at the overreach of the provincial government in our municipal affairs. Specifically, in this instance (and there are many) the issue of bike lanes. There are otheres, but I will address this one first. Lire davantage
