I disagree with taking away park-protected critical beach habitat for redesignation under lesser protections for development. There are other ways to boost tourism without impacting the natural qualities of the area that make it worth traveling there. Lire davantage

Stay away from Wasaga Beach. A Provincial Park and it's land means it belongs to Ontarians not to business, or construction, or even Government. So much of what we cherish and want for the future is being slowly taken away, developed, ripped up. Save wildlife, save history, save Wasaga Beach. Lire davantage

Provincial Parks should be free from any sale of Crown land and free from development. Rather, the natural environment should be protected, and preferably enhanced, in order to secure a healthy biodiverse ecosystem now and for the future. Lire davantage

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park isn’t just a summer destination, it’s one of the last remaining nesting grounds for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario. These tiny shorebirds have made a fragile comeback since 2007, thanks to years of careful stewardship and protection.

I oppose the proposed selling of sections of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park for development. Given this Park holds critical nesting habitat for the Piping Plover, development should respect the spirit of the Endangered Species Act. Lire davantage

Handing over portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park from the MECP’s protection to the MTCG's demonstrated environmental mismanagement is a disastrous proposal that will only serve to continue the destruction of Ontario’s environment for the profit of a few insiders. Lire davantage

I’m writing to demand you withdraw your dangerous proposal to sell off sections of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, which includes vital nesting habitat for the endangered Piping Plover. Lire davantage

I'm writing because I'm extremely concerned about Bill 5, and the recent proposal regarding Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks were established in good faith to protect natural areas for the good of animals and plants indigenous to the land and the enjoyment of all Ontarians. Lire davantage

Ontario’s parks are for the public. They exist to protect endangered species, sensitive ecosystems, and the natural spaces that connect our communities and shield us from climate disaster – not to benefit wealthy, well-connected developers. Lire davantage

This proposal is not only cruel to the environment, it is unnecessary in all regards. Wasaga Beach already has an excellent tourist environment with good accomodations. It would be a disgrace to the local populace and the environment to sell off pieces of land for development. Lire davantage

Your government must stop taking over public land for profit. Our fragile biosphere cannot take anymore decimation. Please leave Wasaga Beach alone.

The piping plovers that call this place home have made a fragile return from the brink of extinction. We must share this planet and it's resources with all of the creatures on it for our benefit and theirs. Ignore this reciprocal relationship at our peril.

This is absolutely crazy. Ontario has too little park space as it is, are you seriously planning to remove some? Other species, especially endangered ones, other than we rapacious humans need natural areas in parks and elsewhere protected from so-called development. Lire davantage

Canada is renowned for it's natural beauty, landscapes and wildlife. How can the Ontario Government fail to see that threatening and destroying our wild places and thus the wildlife will have long term negative financial and environmental impacts on our country? Lire davantage
