Selling parklands will have a negative impact not only on surrounding residents but also on persons as a whole given that such a sale will deprive both animals and persons of needed open space and replace that with additional housing and further development. Lire davantage

You are selling off public lands to benefit a select few. None of your constituents want this or voted for this. Ontarian’s (including myself) want accessible, open provincial parks! Lire davantage

Doug Ford should leave the Wasaga Beach alone. . Wasaga Beach is nice natural beach for swimming and fun for family. No development should be done on the beach. let people enjoy water and beach in the natural way. Stop destroying this beautiful beach . Lire davantage

Please leave the beaches as part of provincial parks. The town of Wasaga Beach is always divided, always arguing, and no council can ever finish a project because it changes so often with big swings. I have little confidence the town will successfully maintain & take care of these. Lire davantage

This proposal if approved would be a tragic event for the endangered plover that nest in this area.

Doug Ford is on a war path to destroy the people, places, and animals we love in Ontario. Doug Ford is once again putting the interests of well-connected, wealthy developers ahead of the people, places and wildlife we love. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this proposal. It represents a serious overreach of government power and sets a dangerous precedent for the future of Ontario’s natural and protected spaces. Lire davantage

I am appalled that the Ford government is considering selling part of Wasaga Beach or any of our other provincial parks and conservation reserves. These are not lands that the government can sell, they are a priceless part of Ontario that, once gone, can never be retrieved. Lire davantage

This development will negatively affect endangered piping plover habitat and put the validity of our provincial parks system at risk. Please change course and reverse the decision to sell off Wasaga Beach to safeguard our commitment to protecting Ontario’s nature and biodiversity.

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park should not be sold for "development". It is an important habitat for piping plovers, and they deserve to have a suitable place to live.

This proposal puts provincial parks at risk through the impa ts that would come from opening them up to development.

The Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is an important nesting ground for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario. The proposed changes to the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park put their nesting grounds at risk and out of the careful stewardship they have had. Lire davantage

This is absolutely awful. We should be creating more provincial parks and spaces for people to be outdoors. And for it to be affordable. Not transferring public space to private developments. Very disappointed that this is trying to be passed. Just like building on green space. Awful behaviour.

Leave the natural environment alone! Who cares about a tacky noisy town like Wasaga Beach that people who don’t know any better only visit for July and August! Spend the money on shoring up and protecting natural habits. Spend money on raising consciousness regarding the natural world.

The Piping Plover is another species that is critically endangered. As such it is our responsibility to ensure it has safe, secure, and reliable nesting areas. Wasaga Beach is a Protected Provincial Park, home to numerous birds, plants, and animals including the Piping Plover. Lire davantage

The way to maintain/attract tourism to Wasaga Beach is by maintaining the beach and the Provincial Park. The inundation of cars and wild parties on the beach and in the town in recent years speaks to that. Lire davantage
