I agree with Hamilton Conservation Authority’s submission to the ERO. I am very concerned and angered about losing local decision-making and I strongly support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community.

Conservation work should stay with local authorities so that they can more directly work with the local environment and citezens for local solutions. This is a bad idea that will make the experienc work for communities and the environment and should not be enacted.

I am very satisfied with the hamilton region conservation Authority as it stands. I can see huge costs to the taxpayer I amalgamation. There are many aspects of operation that could be combined for economies of scale such as purchasing. Equipment, consultants and even calendars come to mind. Lire davantage
