I strongly and vehemently oppose bill 5. I oppose short cuts for industry with no public oversight. I want stronger environmental and endangered species protections. I oppose overwriting the law in special economic zones. I find this proposed bill appalling and fuelled by personal greed.

I very strongly oppose Bill 5. This should not be allowed to proceed. Endangered species deserve all of the protection that we can offer them. I do not support short cuts for building.

This is unreasonable, and should not be allowed. There are plenty of ways to develop affordable housing without sacrificing the processes in place which protect our country and ensure we make decisions with an informed approach. This change should not be allowed.

This bill is anti-democratic and needs to be stopped. You cannot legislate away the rights of citizens to be informed and to protest harmful decisions made by the government. Read more

I strongly disapprove of Bill 5 because endangered species and habitats must be protected. The changes this bill proposes would jeopardize that by making it easier for the Ontario government and to ignore conservation concerns in favour of economic ones. Read more

Habitat loss is death by a thousand cuts, both small and large. This has been happening continuously especially under the Ford govt. We are now in a biodiversity crisis and should be finding ways to protect critical landscapes, not loosen rules and regs. Read more
