I don’t like the fact that you can register online and proceed with your project without getting the actual permit. This would lead to no enforcement on projects, which is a slippery slope that wouldn’t be great for environment.

I am not in support of this. The endangered species act should remain unchanged. We are already suffering from the constant change of climate, we should be focusing our resources on proposed bills that actually take up relevance in our demographic.

I am an Ontario citizen and I don’t support this initiative. This allows development of environmentally sensitive areas before species are protected - which means we will lose endangered species and habitats without the chance to preserve. This will be devastating to Ontarios natural areas. Read more

I think that the changes proposed will be a regret in the future. When people are shocked that "we" allowed endangered species to become extinct in areas of Ontario...what will we say? That it was for "Build Better Faster"?? Read more

The proposed Species Conservation Act would more aptly be named the Refusal to Protect Species at Risk Act. It essentially silences people who know and care about species at risk, and gives those who have a vested interest in destroying habitats carte blanche to do exactly that. Read more
