I oppose this act: Proposed interim changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007 and a proposal for the Species Conservation Act, 2025 ERO number 025-0380 The government should not have discretion to remove protected species from the list. The government is not comprised of scientists. Read more

Species at risk are important to me and my life, as well as the identity of Ontarians. I strongly believe Ontario should protect the habitat for migratory birds, and I don’t see any plan for this in the proposed legislation and the new species conservation program. Read more

While I support growing Ontario’s economy, I find Bill 5 deeply troubling. Replacing the Endangered Species Act with a weaker Species Conservation Act will strip vital habitat and anti-harassment safeguards, leaving at-risk species more exposed. Read more
