I strongly oppose Bill 5. We need to protect our wildlife especially endangered species. We need to protect our land not sell it to the highest bidder. Please do not approve this bill. It will ruin our province and the animals and people that live here

Ontario needs to protect endangered species! Please do not follow through with the proposed changes. Ontario must stay strong on preserving our natural world for future generations. We cannot afford to contribute to habitat loss and subsequent species loss. Read more

I am in opposition to this bill. As modernized humans it is our responsibility to be stewards of what wild lands and its species we have left. To continue our current path of destruction will only lead to our inevitable demise. Read more

There are far to many species at risk already, many which our children and grandchildren will never get to see in their life time especially if bill 5 is passed. Many jobs such as environmental consulting and wildlife conservation careers will be lost or have significantly reduced funding. Read more

Environmental assessments to save ground water, species at risk are absolutely required. This bill guts all of that. We have one environment. Once it’s damaged it’s not coming back in this lifetime. Read more

I oppose Bill 5, I want and value strong environmental and endangered species protections. I strongly oppose short cuts for industries with no public oversight. I oppose laws overriding special economic zones.

Removing environmental protections, and allowing big money to take over the province is the wrong way to go. My grandchildren’s future is at stake, along with the health of the planet. Enough!

This proposal weakens critical safeguards for the ecosystem. With less enforcement of assessments and requirements, the effects will be devastating. There would be little or no consideration for science based conservation. Read more

As someone who is fortunate to live both in Muskoka and the city of Toronto as well as a degree in animal science I am horrified at the prospect of this type of bill and I completely reject this proposal. Read more
