I strongly oppose the proposed amendment to the Provincial Park and Conservation Reserve Act. These areas are designated not only for their ecological and cultural significance, but also for the long-term benefit of public access, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience. Read more

Hasn't this government done enough to damage and endanger wildlife and environmental areas? I've been to Wasaga beach, the beach is fine as it is; no need to go about and threatening the ecosystems just for that. Read more

I am very concerned for the piping plover habitat here. This is one of the last spots in Ontario where they are nesting and it's a very important place for birders of all generations. Read more

Please do not open the island for tourism, as this is another sad, sorry loss for habitat. Money isn't everything. Keep protecting Wasaga Beach's wild areas for perpetuity under the banner of Ontario parks. I'm tired of Doug Ford always chosing development over protection. Read more

Absolutely do not approve of removing land from provincial parks, especially shoreline where endangered birds nest.

Our provincial parks should remain provincial parks. They should not be for sale. One would have hoped the government might have learned from its Greenbelt experiment, but apparently they've forgotten burning their fingers on that one, so we have to do this again. This. Is. A. Bad. Idea. Read more

I am against any government-owned land being given for development in the Wasaga Beach area. It is vital to protect the natural areas for future generations to enjoy. We need do not need to develop these areas for economic reasons: we can revitalize the areas that are already developed.

I can't decide if the Ford government just has an outright brazen disregard for our dwindling natural spaces, or a vehement hate towards them. It's disgraceful. Disgusting. But I am reminded of Hamlin's razor which states; Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. Read more

Hello I am against the proposed change. Public lands are rare, valued by many people, and invaluable to our biodiversity. There is such little protected public land. Please do not proceed with this change and let the public land stay public land. Read more

The one thing beautiful about Canada and Ontario that no other place has is our parks and natural space. Please don’t destroy it by selling it off and ruining a place that I go to.
